Brutus Tactical started with two dogs and one simple idea.

Nala was our first — a rescued pit/lab mix with zero concept of personal space and 100% loyalty. She was adored, especially by our son, and set the tone for everything that followed. We lost her in July 2024, but the mission she started didn’t go anywhere.

Then there’s Brutus — our German Shepherd. He thinks he’s tactical. He thinks he’s cool. In reality, he’s an absolute nut… but he’s family. And he’s the reason this brand exists.

Brutus Tactical isn’t about pretending to be something we’re not. It’s about good gear, good people, and doing something that actually matters. That’s why a portion of every sale (20% of Proceeds) go directly toward helping shelter dogs get adopted.

Here’s how it works:

Each month, we pick a shelter — sometimes local to Connecticut, sometimes wherever work takes us — find a dog in need, cover adoption fees, and help get that dog into a home. When you see a featured dog on the site, that’s not marketing fluff. That’s the mission in progress.

You buy gear. We help get dogs out of shelters. Simple as that.
